Whale Shark Watching

Swim with the gentle Giants

About 45 min away by car is probably the most famous Tourist Attraction from the entire Cebu Island or maybe even from the whole Philippines, the Whale Shark watching spot in Oslob.

You may reach this Attraction by Bus-ride, Car or Motorbike, which you can rent at our place. Your way will be along the beautiful South Cebu National Highway, along the awesome coastal road.

Since you will arrive at the spot, you may park your vehicle along the road or in one of the private parking areas.

Oslob's day begins at six in the morning, when the first tourist arrivals listen to a short briefing-no touching, no riding, no flash photography, and keep at least six feet away from the sharks at all times. Visitors don masks, snorkels, and life jackets and board outrigger boats to see the sharks. In the "interaction area," about 150 feet from shore, the boats line up and the show begins. Feeders in small, one-person outrigger canoes dish out handfuls of thawed shrimp to the waiting sharks, many of which time their arrival to within a few minutes of feeding.

Every day, thousands of tourists from over the world, are excited to swim with those gentle Giants. Therefor the place will be very grouted and you have to expect hours of waiting. So be an early bird and start your adventure early in the morning. Be there before 6 am, to make sure, you are one of the first visitors.
